OUR STORY

Dear beloved family,

​

You and I, who live here in the United States of America, are privileged to call the greatest country in the world, "home." Unfortunately, most of us have forgotten our great history and accomplishments both at home and abroad.

​

 We the Watu(people) have instead unwittingly and some cases wittingly, abdicated our power over a period of time, to self-appointed experts, corporate media, academics, politicians, crony capitalists and more. These groups have guilted us into being ashamed for saying that we love America. They keep us distracted by sowing discord along social, economic, cultural and sectarian lines while they gain more power and wealth under the guise of solving the same issues.

Here at WATU 1776, we believe the constitution gives us, “We the People,” the power and right to determine the success or failure of our own lives. We envision a future where we all are actively involved in our homes and local communities to maintain our American founding traditions, where the inalienable rights of the individuals supersede the power of the group or any other institution.

​

We hope that our gear will help serve as a physical reminder and celebration of that American ideal. We see it as a way for you to share and rekindle your passion to march towards the American dream of Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness regardless of where you came from or your socioeconomic background.
